Privacy Policy
What we do with your personal information.
Effective date: August 2, 2026 · Last updated: August 2, 2026
Federal law requires financial institutions, a category that includes tax and accounting professionals, to explain how we collect, share, and protect your personal information.
What we collect
Depending on the services you use, this may include your name and contact details; Social Security number, Employer Identification Number, or other taxpayer identification number; income, expense, asset, and liability information; bank account and payment card information; employment and payroll information; and information from tax returns, financial statements, and accounting records.
We collect this directly from you, from documents and systems you give us access to, and from third parties you authorize.
How we use it
Only to provide the services you have engaged us for, to communicate with you, to comply with legal and regulatory obligations, and to administer our business relationship with you.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for marketing purposes.
When we share it
| We share | With whom |
|---|---|
| To provide the services you requested | Tax software and e-file providers, accounting platforms, our secure portal and e-signature providers, payment processors |
| With people you authorize | Your tax preparer, attorney, lender, or anyone else you identify in writing |
| To comply with the law | Tax authorities, or in response to a subpoena, court order, or lawful government request |
| For marketing | We do not share your information for marketing purposes |
How we protect it
We maintain a Written Information Security Plan as required by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, the FTC Safeguards Rule, and IRS requirements for credentialed tax professionals. Safeguards include encryption in transit and at rest, multi-factor authentication on every system holding your information, a password-protected client portal, access limited to those who need it, a written incident response plan, and annual review of the program.
Don't send documents containing Social Security numbers or bank account numbers by ordinary email. Use the secure client portal. If you're ever unsure whether a request from us is genuine, telephone us before responding.
How long we keep it
For as long as necessary to provide services to you and to comply with legal, regulatory, and professional record retention requirements. When no longer needed, it is securely destroyed.
Your choices
You control who else we talk to; we won't discuss your information with anyone, including a spouse or business partner, unless you authorize it in writing. You can withdraw an authorization at any time, request a copy of the information we hold, and ask us to correct anything inaccurate. State law may give you additional rights.
